Since seeing these tiny clogs on The Antiques road show the other week, I am on a mission to track down a pair to add to my miniature shoe collection. They are so beautiful. Made from wood, leather and with metal edging on the soles. This pair was made by the young apprentice in the photograph in about 1910.
Apparently this style of clog was hugely popular in the UK right up until after the second world war. So, why have I never seen them before?
I'd like some in my size too.
